What: We our planning our first full length feature film. We are doing this in the model of Sherwood Pictures. The makers of Facing The Giants and Fireproof. They first made Flywheel, a movie that was made for $20,000 and shown at local theaters and is now available at Blockbuster and Netflix.
When: The script is almost complete. We plan to be ready to do principal filming starting summer 2010.
Where: We are located in and around Laurel, Maryland a suburb between Baltimore and Washington D.C. and that is where most filming will take place.
Who: We have the main actors for the film set. We will be filling out shorter parts from amongst the CWA team of actors and volunteers who are interested. We have several crew selected and will be searching for more volunteers to fill out these roles. Updates
We’ve had several successful shoots, but we’re learning that filming is really hard work. We gotta give those Hollywood guys some credit. Please continue to pray for us and the film. We still have a whole summer of filming ahead of us.
We haven't updated in a while but that's because we've been busy, writing and editing the script. We had some training on our equipment and we're about to start filming this week. Look for our movie site www.homecomingfilm.com to be up and running soon.
Writing is almost complete and we plan to do our first team read through of the film to get a feel for how it sounds and how long it will be. Right now it looks the film will be about ninety minutes long but that could change.
The writing process starts today for this first film project. Our writing team is starting on the process of going through possible story ideas and narrowing down the choices to make a selection. The next step after this is to to work on the plot and character development.
April 2009
We have purchased th Canon XH A1 Digital camcorder to use for production filming.
