New Ten Commandments Movie

Editorial by Larry Amon, CWA President

There is a new Ten Commandments movie coming out this Friday. It's animated. Some people have already started complaining that it's not up to Finding Nemo quality. However I think art, if anything should enhance the story, not be the story itself. If you have a good story, it doesn't have to be made with $100 million dollars of CGI. Sure, it would look nice if it did, but maybe that would even take away from the story. Sometimes critics are all too eager to be critics and don't actually try to enjoy anything. When Frank Perriti's movie The Visitation came out on DVD, some critics said it was the worst thing they ever saw. However, I thought it was exactly what a Christian scary movie should be. I thought it was excellent and you should watch it if you like that type of movie. This reminds me of an animated movie called The Miracle Maker that was aired on TV a few years back during Easter. It wasn't the best animation ever but it really told the story well. Jeremy Camp is hosting a chat about the movie over at Godtube today at 5pm EST.
